Sulphur precipitation in the production tubing of a well producing fluid with a high hydrogen sulphide content is reduced by circulating a hot fluid down through an insulated circulating pipe string, which coaxially surrounds the production tubing and up, through the annulus between said pipestring and the surrounding formation, thereby heating the production tubing in an energy efficient manner.
