Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for the preparation of a 3' end functionalized polynucleotide is disclosed. An aminefunctionalized solid phase support is treated sequentially with an anhydride, then with an 1hydroxylamine. A polynucleotide is chemically synthesized on the treated support and is subsequently cleaved therefrom by hydrolysis of the amide bonds. A polynucleotide having a 3' free primary amine is recovered for use in hybridization assays and other uses.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 26, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 26, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
