19, JW24 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE, DNA discovered in a portion of the X chromosome at band Xp21 and part of the gene in which abnormality causes Duchenne and Becker forms of muscular dystrophy. The DNA can be used as a probe in prenatal investigations of the disease and family study investigation to identify carriers.
