A woodworking method and apparatus including a work carriage having a base mounted on a bed for rectilinear sliding movement along a first axis in a first plane and a work platform mounted on the base for rectilinear sliding movement along a second axis parallel to the first axis and in a second plane parallel to the first plane. A tool carriage carrying a motor driven rotary cutting tool is mounted on the bed for rectilinear sliding movement along a third axis transverse to the first and second axes.
