A wet/dry vacuum cleaner including an, accumulating tank having a removable top which mounts an electric motor and suction producing fan driven by the motor, is provided with a molded plastic cap for the motor and a separate molded plastic cover fitted over the cap. An electric junction box molded integrally with the cap is provided with a snap-fitted removable perforated cover. The motor cover is provided with inlet and exhaust apertures for motor cooling air, and cooperates with the cap to direct the cooling air from the inlet, through the motor and out the exhaust while some of the cooling air also passes through the junction box.
