Disclosed herein is a sesquilignan derivative of the formula:, wherein R1 is hydrogen or hydroxy R2 is hydrogen or acetyl, R3 is hydrogen or methoxy R4 is hydrogen or methoxy, n is, integer of 0 or 1 with the proviso that when R1 and R2, is hydrogen R3 is methoxy and R4 is hydrogen; these compounds possess pesticidal properties.
