Oral compositions comprising a safe and effective amount of a polymer, selected from the group consisting of poly acrylic acid polymers copolymers, of acrylic acid and mixtures thereof a soluble, strontium ion source, a soluble fluoride source and a carrier are described. These heretofore undisclosed combinations of acrylic acid polymer, strontium and fluoride provide a more effective anti-caries composition.
