Abstract From the Canadian patent

A first delay circuit delays a digital composite color video signal by a one-scanning-line time. A second delay circuit delays the output signal of the first delay circuit by the one-scanning-line time. A first correlation detector detects a correlation between the digital composite color video signal and the output signal of the first delay circuit. A second correlation detector detects a correlation between output signals of the first and second delay circuits. A coefficient generator generates first and second coefficients corresponding to magnitudes of the correlation-detect outputs of first and second correlation detectors. A first difference-signal detector detects a difference signal …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 5, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 5, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
