Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to an assembled driveshaft in which individual driving elements, especially gears are non-, rotatingly connected to a hollow shaft by a force-locking or friction-locking connection between the plasticallyexpanded hollow shaft and the elastically-prestressed driving elements. For improving the bending and torsional stiffness of the driveshaft, at least one driving element consists of at least two toothed discs of different diameters integrally connected to each other by a sleeve. The sleeve is either positioned close to the shaft to form a basis for the connection or away from the shaft between the discs.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 5, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 5, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
