Copper mirrors and method of manufacturing same. A mirror may comprise a transparent glass sheet bearing a copper reflective layer and at least one protective layer for example by treatment with a, substituted azole. The copper layer is a chemically deposited layer such that after the mirror has been subjected to the CASS Test for 120 hours the factor of, luminous reflection of the mirror is at least 0.9 times what it was before the mirror was subjected to that test.
