Abstract From the Canadian patent

PATENT APPLICATION, entitled: 1-(Aminophenyl)-2-aminoethanone derivatives. in the name of: Société anonyme dite : LABORATOIRE L. LAFON, inventor: Louis LAFON, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to the preparation of new derivatives selected from the group consisting of:, (i) 1-(aminophenyl)-2-(alkylamino)ethanones of the formula:, (I), in which R is CH(CH3)2 or C(CH3)3; and (ii) addition salts thereof. These new derivatives are useful in therapy in, particular as antidepressants or stimulants for the CNS. They are prepared from 1-(acetylaminophenyl)-2- (alkylamino)ethanone derivatives by deacetylation.
