A silicon-containing copolyester in the form of a block copolymer consists of 1-99% by weight of a siloxane segment of the following general formula:, (A), (in which R represents a hydrocarbon radical having 1-10 carbon atoms and m represents a value of 1-2000) and 99-1% by weight of a polyester segment expressed by the following general formula; or (B), (in which R1 is an aromatic bivalent radical having 6-12 carbon atoms or aliphatic bivalent radical having 4-20 carbon atoms R2, is an aromatic bivalent radical having 6-20 carbon atoms or aliphatic bivalent radical having 2-20 carbon atoms and n, represents a value of 1-1000).
