Process for two-stage catalytic conversion of an olefinscontaining feed by contacting the feed in a first stage under substantially non-oligomerizing conditions with a catalyst comprising at least one metal (X) selected from the group consisting of metals from Groups la, lb 2a, 2b, 4b, 5b, 6b and 8, of the Periodic Table of the Elements and contacting effluent from the first stage in the second stage under olefin oligomerization conditions at a temperature which is at least 50 °C above the operating temperature of the first stage with a catalyst comprising at least one metal (Z) selected from the group consisting of metals from Groups lb, 2a, 2b, 4b, 5b, 6b and 8 on a mordenite-type of …
