Flame retardant plastic compositions are prepared by incorporating into a polymer from 1-30% by weight of a flame retardant having the structural formula: This class of flame retardant shows exceptional high temperature stability and permits incorporation of the flame retardant into the polymer by hot milling at temperatures up to about 350°C.
