Fibres made from a blend of poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide (PPDT) and a copolyamide derived from p-phenylene diamine terephthalic acid and a naph-, thalenlc difunctional monomer show improved properties particularly, tenacity, compared with PPDT fibres. The blend can be processed in the same manner as the PPDT polymer.
