An apparatus intended for manufacturing a hollow body which hollow body has a head piece formed by blow-molding a preform segment, is comprised of a ring-shaped nozzle a withdrawal, device, and blow-mold pieces which are laterally reciprocally movable. It is desired that regions of the hollow body being fabricated have outer diameters which are less than the diameter of the extruded tubular segment before said segment is blown. This is achieved in that a reciprocally movable mandrel with a molding extension is provided which extends between projecting regions of the blow-mold pieces which, projecting regions of the blow-mold pieces press the corresponding parts of the preform segment …
