Cyclopropanecarboxamides of the general formula I, (I), where R is C1-C12-alkyl C2-C12-alkenyl, C2-C12-alkynyl, C1-C12-haloalkyl C2-C12-haloalkenyl, C2-C12-haloalkynyl C3-C12-alkoxyalkyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl, C4-C12-cycloalkylalkyl, C3-C8-halocycloalkyl, C4-C12-halocycloalkylalkyl C4-C12-cycloalkylhaloalkyl or C4-C12-halocycloalkylhaloalkyl and X is oxygen or sulfur. The present invention furthermore relates to the preparation of the compounds I, pesticides which contain the compounds I, and a method for controlling pests.
