Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention relates to novel specificallysubstituted phenyl compounds, especially substituted di-tertbutyl phenol derivatives, which are effective as antiinflammatory, analgesic and/or antipyretic agents. These phenyl compounds are substituted with a low molecular weight alkyl chain which terminates in a specific unsaturated functional group. These unsaturated functionalities are -C=CH, C=CH2, C=C=CH2, and aldehydes in the form of their acetals. The novel compounds have the structural formula with preferred compounds being those in which A' is -OH A2 is, -C(CH3)3, A3 is -C(CH3)3 and Y is a terminally unsaturated group.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted February 25, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 25, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
