Abstract From the Canadian patent

As new anthracycline derivatives are now provided 7-O-(2,6-dideoxy-2-fluoro-.alpha.-L-talopyranosyl)daunomycinone and 7-O-(2,6-dideoxy-2-fluoro-.alpha.-L-talopyranosyl)adriamycinone which are useful as antitumor agent and also as antibacterial agent. Briefly, these new compounds may be produced by condensing a 2,6-dideoxy-2-fluoro-.alpha.-Ltalopyranosyl halide with the 7-hydroxyl group of daunomycinone or adriamycinone.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 28, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 28, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
