Pretreatment Process for Amorphous Hydrated Metal Oxide Primer for, Organic Adhesively Bonded Joints A method of bonding articles together utilizing a short term corrosive pretreatment prior to application of an amorphous hydrated metal oxide primer and an adhesive resulting in a joint resistant to crack propagation. The method comprises bonding a plurality of articles together, at least one of which is metal. The surface of the metal article is exposed to a corrosive environment at a temperature less than about 50°C.
