Fish and crustacean bait consisting essentially of (a) from about 5 to about 50 wt. % of a water insoluble polymer having a melting point below about 110°C (e.g. polyamides and copolymers of ethylene with at least one ethylenically unsaturated comonomer); (b) from about 45 to about 95 wt. % of an attractant such as fish meal and plant derived attractants; and (c) from 0 to about 20 wt. % of edible oil or molasses.
