A silver halide color photographic sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a substrate having a silver halide emulsion layer position thereon and a cyan dye forming coupler. The coupler is represented by the general formula (I). (I) wherein R represents a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group X repre-, sents a group capable of releasing by a-n oxidative coupling reaction with a developing agent and R1 repre-, sents a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group or aryl group.
