A machine for inserting pouring spouts in caps, provides for feeding the caps to an indexing work table through an inlet apparatus which coordinates the position of the caps with the position of the indexing table Mounting apparatus is provided to mount the caps on the indexing work table, which table moves the caps in a coordinated sequence to work positions where the pouring spouts are inserted in the caps.
