Abstract From the Canadian patent

Primary amines are assayed by providing a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxyaldehyde reactive with primary amines, reacting the substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxyaldehyde with at least one primary amine analyte and cyanide ion to form an adduct amenable to fluorometric or electrochemichal assaying techniques and fluorometrically or electrochemically assaying said adduct. The method according to the invention enables assaying of trace concentrations of analytes containing one or more primary amino groups.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted December 24, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 24, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
