A method and an apparatus (10) for, continuously sizing preforming or forming metal, objects include a plurality of molds (38 40, 42, 44, and 46) arranged in a substantially vertical column (45) and which collectively define a mold cavity (92). Each mold is separable into at least two mold sections (38a, 38b). A retaining mechanism (24) retains the molds (38, 40, 42, 44 and 46) in the vertical column (45). Preferably, first and second arm mechanisms (98, 100) separate the bottom mold section into halves and move the bottom mold sections to the top of the column.

Why it's free to use
- Granted December 10, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 10, 2008.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
