Abstract From the Canadian patent

A muffling device comprising an internally segmented main body narrowed at the body's ends with a widened midsection. The interior of the body is divided by a series of bell shaped walls extending from the body's midsection to define a first outer chamber surrounding a second inner chamber within the body's upper half, a third chamber extending between the midsection of the body, and a fourth inner chamber surrounded by a fifth outer chamber within the body's lower half. The first chamber communicates with the second chamber by an aperture in the wall separating the two chambers.
