An electromagnetic energy seal for a microwave oven comprising a seal plate fixed on the inner wall of a door frame of the oven and adapted to form an opening. From the upper end of the outer wall of door frame there extends an inwardly folded tuning post forming member having slits of a uniform width at period intervals in which the electric field of the electromagnetic energy is maximum.
