Water dilutable phosphoric acid modified binders for stoving paints, particularly suited for the formulation of anti-corrosive single coats with excellent decorative properties and a process for their preparation are described. A water insoluble film-forming polyhydroxy component op-, tionaliy containing phosphoric acid groups is combined with, a water-soluble component the salt forming groups of which, are, in part phosphoric acid groups to provide the coating compositions.
