A slide (transparency) container consisting of a continuous strip of transparent material comprising a plurality of transverse pockets closed at one end and open at the other end, facilitates insertion of a predetermined number of slides. For automatically packaging the mounted slides in the container, the apparatus used comprises: a feeder for the continuous strip; a means for successively positioning the various pockets of the continuous strip with their open ends facing an insertion member for the slides; a means for advancing the strip step by step by a distance equal to the pitch of said pockets, after each of them has been filled with the predetermined number of slides; and a cutter …
