Abstract From the Canadian patent

The specification discloses a process for colouring hair in which certain polysiloxanes including siloxane units having a silicon bonded hydroxy group are employed to provide improved depth of colour or colour retention. Preferably the polysiloxanes are employed as a treatment on hair prior to or after application of colorant.
