A lamination for use in a dynamo electric machine of the kind employing a stacked laminated stator and/or rotor, is formed of a flat annular plate of ferromagnetic material having a given outer diameter and a bore opening of a certain inner diameter. The plate has a number of equally circumferentially spaced lot opening extending from an intermediate circumference to form a number of teeth which extend radially to an air gap periphery of the plate. The slot openings are formed to contain electrical conducting elements which extend axially of the lamination stack to correspond to an n pole operating configuration.
