An electromagnetic clutch for an automotive air conditioning system is disclosed which includes a rotor, an electromagnetic coil, and an armature plate. A boss is secured to a drive shaft and has a wave-shaped flange which is formed on the outer surface of the boss. A front plate is disposed forwardly of the wave-shaped flange of the boss through a ring-shaped washer of elastic material. A rear plate is disposed rearwardly of the wave-shaped flange of the boss through another ring-shaped washer of elastic material.
