Abstract From the Canadian patent

A pulley type speed-shifting device is provided with a driving pulley and driven pulley mounted on each transmission shaft which is placed parallelly and a belt, member trained between both Pulleys. A moving member is connected solidly movably in axial direction with one of the sideplate of both pulleys and is axially moved on the movable sideplate through screw motion caused by relative rotation around the transmission shaft. And a speedshifting pulley mechanism is provided for rotating the moving member relatively around the transmission shaft to change the transmission ratio between both transmission shafts in accordance with required mode change.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 3, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 3, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
