Abstract of the Disclosure A chlorine dispenser for spas includes a tubularcontainer disposed within a sleeve having one closed end. The container and sleeve form a chamber for receiving the solid chlorine source. The sleeve contains apertures for providing access by water to the solid chlorine source. The sleeve is axially movable along the container and a, locknut engages the container to secure a given position of the sleeve. The container is attached to a foam-filled float, which ensures positive buoyancy of the dispenser in water. The sleeve is ballasted to ensure that the dispenser is vertically disposed in the water.
