Abstract From the Canadian patent

A roll unit having a roll portion and a roll shaft inserting portion which are formed integrally with each other and further having means for engaging with another roll unit to be combined; and a combination roll formed by mounting a plurality of the roll units onto the roll shaft and locking the former to the latter.
