Abstract From the Canadian patent

The color stability of certain rubberreinforced polymeric compositions upon exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light is enhanced by incorporating a fadeable, yellow color balancer in an amount effective to reduce the overall color shift of the plastic due to exposure to UV light. The color balancer is an organic dye or pigment, preferably an anthraquinone dye present in an amount (0.001 to 0.1 weight percent) below that at which it would be used to color the composition. 34,602-F

Why it's free to use

  • Granted July 23, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended July 23, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
