Abstract From the Canadian patent

The locking rods (6) are slidably supported in C-shaped restricted receiving grooves (3) of the casement (1). The locking rods (6) have a U-shaped cross-section and have side legs (7) which are respectively provided with a side groove extending over the entire length of the rod. Each side groove is limited by a lower crosspiece with a thickness S1 and an upper crosspiece with a thickness S2. The height of each side groove has the dimension N. The height H1 Of the receiving groove (3) is greater than the overall height H2 Of the locking rod (6) by the crosspiece thickness S1.
