Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract, The invention provides new weakly acidic crosslinked vinyl polymer particles having utility as components of coating compositions, liquid electrographic developers, and layers of electrographic elements and records. Each of the polymeric particles of the invention has a weakly acidic surface and an average diameter less than one micrometer and comprises a crosslinked vinyl addition copolymer obtainable by aqueous emulsion polymerization of a mixture of monomers in the presence of a polymerization initiator, wherein:, 0.5-15 percent by weight of the mixture of monomers comprises polyfunctional vinyl addition-polymerizable monomers in order to form crosslinking structural units in …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted July 2, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended July 2, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
