Abstract From the Canadian patent

DC Voltage Supply Circuit for Fluorescent Lamps The d.c. voltage supply circuit comprises a flyback converter (13') whose inductivity (16) is alternatingly charged through an electronic switch (T2) and discharged via a diode (17) onto a capacitor 118). The output voltage (UA) of the flyback converter is continuously monitored. If a threshold value is exceeded, the switch (T2) mounted in an input line of the flyback converter is changed into the off-state. The off-state is terminated as soon as the output voltage has again fallen below the threshold value. Due to the d.c.voltage supply circuit loads requiring, a specific d.c.voltage may be connected to different, supply voltages without the …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 11, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 11, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
