A device is disclosed for immobilizing a bone element, especially for orthopedic use comprising pins or, needles, passing through the element mounted in supports, themselves borne by two metallic rigid hoops surrounding the bone element and separated from one another by spacing braces having an adjustable length. Each hoop has in straight cross-section an external outline presenting two flattened parallel portions respectively connected by two convex portions.
