Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, The present invention is directed to a process of precipitating for use in photography a high aspect ratio tabular grain emulsion employing a dispersing medium containing a gelatino-peptizer comprised of less than 30 micromoles of methionine per gram and at least a 0.5 molar concentration of chloride ion. A wide range of chloride ion concentrations in the tabular grains can be achieved while avoiding the use of tabular grain thickening ripening agents and synthetic peptizers.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 14, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 14, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
