Abstract From the Canadian patent

The process of this invention is a hybrid gas separation process which recovers both heavy hydrocarbon and high purity hydrogen products from a gas stream containing a relatively low concentration of hydrogen. The heavy hydrocarbon product may consist of C2+ C3+ and/or C4+, hydrocarbons. The light hydrocarbons and other light components such as, N2 and CO, are removed as a light fuel gas stream. After conventional removal of any components which might freeze at low temperatures the, feed gas is combined with recycle gas from the hydrogen purifier and fed to the cryogenic unit.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted March 26, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended March 26, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
