Abstract of the Disclosure A sole for use on a post-operative or otherwise traumatized foot includes a sole assemmmbly having an outer sole a shock, absorbing midsole and an inner sole conforming generally to the contour of the sole of the foot, the sole assembly having a limited degree of flexibility, and an upper assembly including an outer wall of a flexible mesh material and a lining of a soft conformable material, adjustable straps connecting the opposite sides of the forward portion of the upper assembly.
