Molding apparatus is provided herein for providing an elongated bolt slot in a manhole top section for accommodating manhole cover frames of varying diameter. The molding apparatus includes: a mold assembly comprising inner and outer mold members which collectively form a hollow interior region defining the shape of the manhole top section.
