Apparatus for bleeding a hydraulic brake system on a vehicle includes a bleeder cap securable to the reservoir in place of the reservoir cap. The bleeder cap carries an inflatable diaphragm on an inner surface and is connectable to an external source of air under pressure to enable air under pressure to be passed from the external source into the cap to inflate the diaphragm relative to the cap. Inflation of the diaphragm when the bleeder cap is secured to the reservoir causes the inflating diaphragm to force hydraulic fluid in the reservoir through the brake system.
