Abstract From the Canadian patent

An uncased wellbore penetrating a subterranean hydrocarbonbearing formation is sealed by forming a gel at the open wellbore face comprising a high molecular weight water-soluble carboxylate-, containing polymer and a chromic carboxylate complex crosslinking agent. The gel components are combined at the surface and injected into the wellbore to form the continuous single-phase gel in situ.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted February 26, 1991. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 26, 2008.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
