An external male incontinence device comprises a sheath (11) and an applicator ring (23). The sheath (11) is everted and has an external adhesive band (35) adjacent the open end; the applicator ring (23) surrounds the everted sheath and covers the band. In use the open end of the everted sheath is placed over the penis and the ring (23) moved along the penile shaft to unroll the sheath. The ring may be split for easy removal. The proximal end of the sheath may be reverted over a distal portion of the ring.
