Novel sulfidoxymolybdenum dialkylphosphorodithioates are disclosed of the general formu1a: ( I ), wherein each R stands for a secondary alkyl group having 4 to 30 carbon atoms and the four R groups may be the same or different, and each X stands for O or S and the four X groups may be the same or different. These compounds are useful as lubricant additives.
