The invention relates to a reinforcing material for duroplastics and a process of preparing the same by embedding hollow body fillers (microspheres) in the interspaces of the fibers of a web, knitted fabric or stitch bonded products of fibers having a high modulus of elasticity. By virtue of the incorporation of the hollow body fillers,the particle diameter of which amounts to between 20 and 300 µm, the absorbing capacity for liquid curable resins can be adjusted to the desired value.
