Abstract of the Disclosure, An improvement in a process for the press fit assembly of two parts (10 and 18) having an interference fit, wherein one of the two parts (10) is provided with a grooved surface. A preapplied dry-to-the-touch sealant adapted to be cured upon assembly of the two parts (16) is, applied on the grooves (14) prior to assembly.
